Spring in Bay Area lasts for few weeks. That’s the time after winter rains make the grass grow and wildflowers bloom, but before summer heat turns the grass brown and flowers spiky. This winter was the driest since … well, forever, so the spring bloom was even shorter than usual. It’s still fantastic to see all the brown hillsides turn green.
I don’t do much macro photography, but this is the time of the year to take out the special lenses and go down on your knees.
